Not all can become rich, wise, famous... Yet, all of us — yes, all of us — are called to be saints.  #SaintJosemaría  #Furrow  #GospelOfTheDay  #gospeloftoday  #GospelSunday  #SundayGospel

In the  #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 5:13-16), Jesus calls His disciples to be salt and light in the world. The person who lives and spreads the grace of Christ is salt. The person who lets the Gospel shine with good deeds is light.

The  #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 2:1-12) teaches us that, when we do not worship God, we end up worshiping ourselves. This is a grave risk: we use God instead of serving Him.

The  #GospeloftheDay (Lk 2:22-40), for the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, shows us the amazement of Mary, Joseph, Simeon and Anne at what was happening before their eyes. The ability to be amazed makes our encounter with the Lord fruitful.

They are ordinary men, complete with defects and shortcomings, more eager to say than to do. Nevertheless, Jesus calls them to be fishers of men, co-redeemers, dispensers of the grace of God.  #SaintJosemaría  #ChristIsPassingBy  #Gospeloftheday  #GospelofToday  #chairOfStPeter

The Lord's calling — vocation — always presents itself like this: "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."  #SaintJosemaría  #Furrow  #GospeloftheDay  #gospeloftoday  #vocation

Yes: a vocation demands self-denial, sacrifice. But how pleasant that sacrifice turns out to be — gaudium cum pace, joy and peace — if that self-giving is complete!  #SaintJosemaría  #Furrow  #GospeloftheDay  #gospeloftoday  #vocation

In your work with souls, be filled with faith, with hope, with love, because all the difficulties will be overcome. To confirm this truth for us, the Psalmist wrote: You, O Lord, will laugh at them: You will bring them to nothing.  #SaintJosemaria  #TheForge  #gospeloftheday

Just place yourselves wholeheartedly in Christ's hands. He does not accuse, he pardons. He does not condemn, he forgives. He is not cold and indifferent towards illness, but instead cures it with divine diligence.  #SaintJosemaria  #FriendsOfGod  #gospeloftheday  #gospeloftoday
